![]() Then we went to other exhibits like Jim Henson’s, The Dark Crystal. So, you’ll have to come and visit and find out for yourself. The picture doesn’t begin to describe how they do it. My favorite was the water puppet display from Vietnam. Apart from having displays, mostly every exhibit had video clips showing how the puppets were made. It amazes me how different parts of the world have different takes on puppetry. We started off with the Global Collection. The Center for Puppetry Arts also offers different museum exhibits. Anyways, this was very neat to do, and it was a good transition from watching a live performance to actually giving us the ability to make our very own right there and then. Because no child is perfect or is perfectly rested with uber patience to create masterpieces (LOL). If you fear that your little one is not having it that day or you prefer to work on it from home with a little more time, the Center for Puppetry for Arts also offers to To-Go kits. It was quite an enjoyable experience and we all got to personalize our Rudolph. To further our imagination, we headed down to the Create-A-Puppet Workshop to create very own Rudolph shadow puppet. Taking the family and putting that sparkle of imagination was so worth the visit. Parents, this made all our wheels spin in endless imagination. My kids and I studied how the inner workings took place while watching the show and it made us really appreciate all the work they put into it. Best of all, they had everyone singing along with the music. The puppeteers’ voices and demeanors for the characters was spot on with the movie we watched in the past. The stage scenery was top notch and to add icing to the cake, they also had a screen that displayed effects and helped to beautifully transition from one scene to another. The live performance was amazing! We got to see “Rudolph the Red-Nosed-Reindeer” and we all really enjoyed it. Here’s a few things I would like to share with you that I found worth noting for all my fellow readers. Not only was the Center for Puppetry Arts all about puppets, but it stirred up the imagination in all of us when we recently visited. It is in Atlanta and offers free parking which, is a plus when I am considering going into the city. The Center for Puppetry Arts is a great place to take the family and enjoy a variety of attractions for all ages. ![]()
